Moment Together
We met for the first time on September 5, 2004 (at 03.55pm to be exact) in Sentosa Island, Singapore. We were on the same tour in Sentosa Island. I went with my mother; while she went with her mother and her grand mother. I still remember the first questions she asked to me and my mother, "Dari Indo ya?" (read: "Are you from Indonesia?"). May be she heard I was talking to my mother in Indonesian language with strong Javanese accent.
During the tour, we didn't talk too much until we watched Magical Sentosa. Magical Sentosa is a water show combined with laser and sound effect. We had a long chat while waiting the show to begin. We were sharing many things, our study, work, dreams, etc....

After our first meeting in Sentosa Island, we didn't meet for a couple of months. I went back to Germany because I was still working there. Meanwhile she went back to Malaysia for her graduation ceremony, and then she moved to Singapore to work there. We did keep in touch via email, telephone and SMS.
My first visit to Singapore (and also our first date) was on New Year 2005. I visited her for 4 days only. The visit was actually not planned at all. The idea just came up in my mind one day before Christmas 2004 when I went to the supermarket. I saw so many people in the supermarket, shopping with their families, preparing themselves for Christmas. I felt so sad at that time because I had to spend Christmas in Germany alone. No family, no friends.... Right after going back from the supermarket, I opened my laptop and looked for a ticket. Five days later, I flew to Singapore.... and the rest was unforgettable memory.... :)

My second visit to Singapore was on Chinese New Year 2005. It was a long visit, more than 2 weeks. We visited Sentosa Island again, the place where we met for the first time.

After having long distance relationship for 6 months, I decided to move from Germany to Singapore. It is not easy to have long distance relationship. We had a chance to stay together in Singapore for a couple of months. It was a nice experience.... Unfortunately, we had a long distance relationship (again) because I got an interesting job offer in Canada. Actually I wanted her to come with me to Canada as my fiancée. Unfortunately Canadian consulate did not approve our application. Now I am thinking that I should not have relocated to Canada.... :(
Our last day in Singapore (June 25, 2005)
Finally, I moved to Canada myself (without Emi). I asked Emi to study Mandarin in Xiamen, China while I started my new life in Canada. I know that she has good talent in language. Besides that, she really wants to speak Mandarin fluently. We had another long distance relationship (China - Canada). I had a chance to visit her in China during Christmas 2005 vacation. We went to several cities in China, Hong Kong, Xiamen and Beijing.
